An eccentric, seeking to sate her addiction to life, relying on age-old experience to know how far to push the boundary, learned by a harrowing past of like pursuits.

‎ ‎ Pollock Sasiel was born in a suburb of a major city. The 6th generation descendant of a high vampire, she was initially removed from her ancestor's circle of influence. However, she ended up working in his manor, as a valet-of-sorts - the connection made by family friend. A quirk of fate, it seemed. ‎ ‎ Her time as a valet was relatively long given her future job prospects. From simple highway herbalism to a carnie, her elven & dhampir blended lifespan allowed for decades spent perfecting life's simple pleasures. Whether that be juggling, baking the ideal loaf of bread, or otherwise. This ramshackle resume came to be Pollock's curse, as her penchant for "shaking things up" with wildly irresponsible snap decisions made it difficult for her to "get ahead" in life despite all the time & patience she seemingly had. ‎ ‎ Along the way, she fell in love with an Elven man, which she married after a lengthy (even for Elves) courting, as it was hard to convince her to commit to "weening back" her wild ways, though she eventually capitulated. Their wedding was met with many gifts, and oddly, one to Pollock that she couldn't place the sender. Within was a terrible discovery: a plant with a powerful, world-view altering psychedelic effect, which the newly weds partook in, as it was their way, without knowledge of the "rabbit hole" they were about to fall down. ‎ ‎ One thing led to another, and their plans to settle down changed, so the two began globetrotting, seeking the source of this "miraculous" plant, to witness its "glories" once more. Unfortunately, tragedy came, as only a few years into their marriage, Pollock became a Widow due to an... industrial accident that she blames herself for. ‎ ‎ Her search for the miracle plant deterred by loss, Pollock retreated to her husband's hometown, living there in a fog of disillusionment at life's meaning, and how easily it can be lost, putting a dull edge on her formerly sharp zest for its bounty.
